David Karabinos will provide a 15-minute update on the state of startup capital and then will converse with a panel of BIO Alabama members who are first-time CEOs and who are about to launch, have recently completed, or are in the process of raising capital.
David is a seasoned executive and board director with experience and knowledge building teams, business units and companies; he uses this expertise to help founders scale. David has been a technology executive and an entrepreneur/operator for more than 40 years, launching companies, raising equity and debt capital, and achieving successful exits. Since 1999, he has served as the CEO, COO, CFO or CIO for 5 startups he launched. For the last two decades he has been an angel investor and an LP in several venture funds. David has served on 17 for-profit and non-profit boards over the last 30 years. David currently helps early-stage companies raise capital, navigate M&A, and develop product and growth strategies.
